The Template Problem Nobody Talks About

Here’s something most agencies won’t tell you: that “custom” website they’re building is probably a $59 ThemeForest template with your logo swapped in. The dirty secret of the web industry is that the majority of agencies sell “custom design” while delivering cookie-cutter templates.

When we started GoDesign in 2018, we made a decision that seemed crazy: we would never use a pre-built template for a client project. Every website would be designed in Figma first, approved by the client, then custom-coded from scratch.

Our Philosophy: Design First, Code Second

The core of our approach: design every project in Figma before writing a single line of code. The client sees exactly what their website will look like, approves, and only then does development begin.

This eliminates the biggest problem in web development — miscommunication. No more “that’s not what I imagined” after weeks of work.
